You can top up your Three UK data-only iPad SIM at over 100,000 shops in throughout the UK including corner shops, newsagents (including WH Smith), post offices, petrol stations, pharmacies (like Boots and Superdrug), supermarkets (like Sainsbury's, Tesco and Waitrose).
Just ask the cashier at any of these shops for a top-up for Three Mobile and you will be given a top-up voucher that looks like a receipt.
Because data allowances are bought in denominations of either £10 (1GB), £15 (3GB) or £25 (7GB), it is best to buy your top-up in one of these amounts. If you buy a top-up voucher for more than this amount you can put the difference towards a future top-up.
To activate your voucher and add credit to your service you'll need to go to three.co.uk/my3. The voucher says that you can call 444, but this applies only for mobile phone customers and is not applicable if you have a data-only SIM for your iPad.
When you get to the My3 homepage (at three.co.uk/my3) you will need to follow these four steps:
- Choose your top-up. Pick the data allowance you want from the drop-down menu.
- Choose payment method. Click on 'Voucher' and then click 'Next'.
- Pay & confirm. Enter the 16 digit PIN number on your voucher. Then click 'Next' followed by 'Confirm'.
- Confirmation. Now you'll get a message saying that your top up was successful. Just click 'Finish' and turn your iPad off and on using the main power button and you'll be right to go.
